As a critical support function, the ACCOUNTANT will play a key role in maintaining the school's financial health and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage the school's finances, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
2. Prepare and submit financial reports to the school administration on a regular basis.
3. Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations for cost savings and process improvements.
4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other accounting documents.
5. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and other regulatory requirements.
6. Conduct audits and ensure that all financial transactions are properly authorized and recorded.
7. Provide support to the school administration in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
8. Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, tax consultants, and other financial stakeholders.
Who Can Apply
To be considered for this role, candidates must have a graduate degree in Commerce or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting and finance is required, preferably in an educational institution or a comparable setting. Proficiency in computer accounting software and Excel is essential.
