Computer Science (PRT) Vacancy in Dwarka, South West Delhi, Delhi
Shiksha Bharati Global School
Job Description
Role Summary
Shiksha Bharati Global School is looking for a Primary teacher who can teach Computer Science to young learners in Dwarka. The role is full-time for candidates with a graduate degree and two years of experience in school teaching.
Your Students (diverse learning levels, inclusive classroom in South West Delhi)
The classroom in South West Delhi includes students from varied backgrounds, some with beginner-level exposure to computers and others ready for simple programming. The teacher must plan lessons that bridge these gaps while keeping the class engaged.
What You Will Do
Plan weekly Computer Science lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum for classes 1 to 5. Use age-appropriate tools like ScratchJr and simple block coding to introduce logic without overwhelming young minds.
Prepare hands-on activities using everyday examples so concepts like algorithms and loops become relatable for primary learners. Differentiated instruction will be needed as some students grasp concepts faster than others.
Organize small group activities where students solve problems together, fostering peer learning in a collaborative environment. Keep classroom resources ready—laptops, tablets, and offline kits—so no child is left out due to resource constraints.
Assess progress through simple tasks like drawing flowcharts or writing short sequences instead of written tests. Provide verbal feedback and encourage students to explain their thought process aloud.
Support students with learning difficulties by breaking tasks into smaller steps and using visual aids. Maintain records of individual progress to share with parents during PTMs.
Coordinate with the IT coordinator to ensure all devices are functional and software is updated before each class. Attend weekly subject meetings to align teaching strategies with the school’s academic goals.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduation in any discipline with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree is mandatory. Prior experience of teaching Computer Science at the primary level is preferred but not mandatory for motivated candidates.
Skills We Value
Patience to repeat instructions without frustration, especially when explaining basic programming to beginners. Strong communication skills to explain technical terms in simple language for young learners.
Familiarity with inclusive teaching methods helps when dealing with mixed-ability classrooms. Basic troubleshooting skills for common hardware or software issues in the lab are a plus.
Salary and Benefits
The Computer Science Teaching Job in South West Delhi offers a monthly salary between Rs.25,000 and Rs.40,000 based on experience. Shiksha Bharati Global School provides a supportive work environment with access to teaching resources and professional development opportunities.
