Job Description
Indraprastha International School | Dwarka is looking for a dynamic individual to lead its theatre department in Dwarka, South West Delhi. This full‑time role offers a salary of Rs.25,000 – Rs.35,000 per month and requires at least three years of relevant experience in school‑level performing arts administration.
Qualification
A graduate degree is essential, complemented by a B.Ed or D.El.Ed. Preference will be given to candidates who have cleared TET or CTET, demonstrating a solid foundation in educational standards and child development.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate and oversee all theatre activities, including productions, workshops and extracurricular events, ensuring they align with the school’s vision. Manage budgets, procure resources and maintain equipment, while liaising with external artists and cultural organisations for collaborations. Lead a small team of assistants, schedule rehearsals, and monitor progress to achieve high‑quality performances.
Develop and implement a comprehensive theatre curriculum that enhances students’ creative expression, confidence and teamwork, without direct classroom teaching responsibilities. Evaluate program effectiveness through feedback, reports and performance metrics, and present insights to senior management.
Maintain safety standards on stage and in rehearsal spaces, conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with school policies. Foster an inclusive environment that encourages participation from diverse student groups and supports their personal growth through the arts.
Act as the primary point of contact for parents and guardians regarding theatre‑related queries, organizing showcases and open‑house events to highlight student achievements. Continuously stay updated with emerging trends in performing arts education and incorporate innovative practices into the department’s operations.
