Plan weekly Computer Science lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum for classes 1 to 8. Prepare and maintain a fully functional computer lab with updated software and teaching aids. Conduct monthly coding challenges and project presentations to foster interest in programming.
Assist in organizing inter-house IT fests and tech exhibitions at Sm Arya Public School Punjabi Bagh. Maintain accurate attendance, assessment records, and portfolios for each student. Collaborate with senior teachers to integrate computational thinking across subjects. Participate in parent-teacher meetings to discuss student progress in Computer Science.
Required Qualifications
Graduation in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is mandatory. B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with Computer Science as a teaching subject is essential. Prior experience in teaching Computer Science to primary and middle school students is required.
Preferred Skills
Proficiency in block-based programming tools and introductory Python coding. Familiarity with CBSE Computer Science syllabus for Classes 1 to 8. Ability to design simple teaching aids and conduct engaging lab activities.
