Job Description
Oxford Sr. Sec. School adopts an inquiry-based curriculum where Social Science comes alive through project work, debates, and real-world case studies. The school partners with NGOs for community projects, giving students hands-on experience in social responsibility.
Technology and innovative teaching methods

School runs a BYOD pilot where learners use tablets for map-based quizzes and virtual scavenger hunts in geography. Teachers curate curated YouTube playlists of documentaries and short films to spark discussions on economic policies and social movements.
Your responsibilities
Plan and deliver Social Science lessons for classes VI to VIII that meet CBSE guidelines and the school’s experiential learning framework. Integrate at least two digital tools per unit—Google Earth for topography, or Kahoot! for formative assessments—documenting usage in the lesson log. Organize monthly heritage walks in Patel Nagar and West Delhi to connect local architecture with broader historical themes. Collaborate with the art and science departments to co-design cross-curricular projects on urbanization and environmental justice. Maintain digital portfolios for each class on Google Classroom, updating them weekly with student work samples. Conduct remedial sessions using flipped videos for learners who need extra support in map reading and data interpretation. Participate in weekly tech training sessions to stay updated on new apps and platforms.
Qualifications and digital literacy requirements
Graduation in History, Geography, Political Science, or Sociology is essential. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree is mandatory. Familiarity with Windows 11, Google Workspace, and basic troubleshooting of projectors and tablets is expected. Candidates should be comfortable recording short explanatory videos on their smartphones for flipped lessons.
Skills for the modern classroom
Strong storytelling ability to transform dry facts into engaging narratives. Patience in guiding students through digital research without giving direct answers. Quick adaptation to new software updates and classroom tech hiccups. Willingness to mentor colleagues on integrating Social Science with digital citizenship lessons.
Salary and benefits
