Job Overview
Gd Goenka School in Rajouri Garden is looking for a Special Educator to join our inclusive education team. This role focuses on designing and implementing individualized support plans for students with diverse learning needs. The Special Educator will work closely with school leadership to ensure compliance with inclusion policies and enhance classroom accessibility.
Key Responsibilities
Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs in coordination with psychologists and parents.
Monitor progress of students through regular assessments and adjust support strategies as required.
Train classroom educators on inclusive teaching techniques and behavior management strategies.
Maintain accurate records of student evaluations, progress reports, and intervention outcomes.
Collaborate with external therapists and specialists to integrate therapeutic recommendations into school routines.
Organize workshops for parents on understanding their child’s learning requirements.
Oversee the allocation of assistive resources like sensory tools, communication devices, and adapted learning materials.
Ensure the school environment meets accessibility standards under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act.
Eligibility Criteria
Must Have
Graduation in Special Education or related field from a recognized university.
B.Ed or D.El.Ed with specialization in Special Education.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a school or educational setting supporting children with disabilities.
Good to Have
Certificate in Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) recognized courses.
Experience with autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, or intellectual disabilities.
Familiarity with IEPs and assistive technology tools.
Skills We Value
Strong leadership in guiding cross-functional teams toward inclusion goals.
Excellent communication to liaise with parents, therapists, and school staff.
Organizational ability to manage multiple student cases and documentation simultaneously.
Salary and Benefits
