Collaborate with other teachers to design cross-curricular events, such as debates, model elections, or guest lectures by political analysts. Participate in weekly faculty meetings to discuss teaching strategies, curriculum updates, and student performance trends. Ensure timely submission of lesson plans, assessment sheets, and progress reports to the principal and department head.
Periodic Responsibilities
Conduct periodic student evaluations through quizzes, assignments, and exams to measure comprehension and identify areas requiring reinforcement. Organize term-end projects or presentations where students explore political themes, encouraging research and public speaking skills. Attend in-service training workshops related to Political Science pedagogy, curriculum innovations, or educational technology to stay updated on best practices.
Qualification and Experience
Hold a postgraduate degree in Political Science or a related discipline with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. At least two years of teaching experience, preferably in a school setting, is required. Familiarity with TET/CTET guidelines is beneficial but not mandatory. Strong communication skills, adaptability to diverse student backgrounds, and a passion for nurturing democratic values are essential.
Salary and Location
