About This Role
Hillwoods School is looking for a responsible Transport Incharge to manage the daily operations of its school transport fleet. The role ensures safe, timely, and efficient transportation for students and staff across Gandhinagar. This position plays a key part in maintaining smooth administrative functions within the school.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate with bus drivers and attendants to ensure punctual pick-up and drop-off.
Maintain accurate records of routes, attendance, and vehicle maintenance.
Address parent and staff concerns regarding transport services promptly.
Monitor fuel consumption and coordinate with vendors for timely refills.
Ensure all vehicles comply with RTO and school safety regulations.
Organize emergency drills and safety training for transport staff.
Prepare monthly reports on transport expenses and vehicle status.
Supervise cleanliness and upkeep of all school transport vehicles.
Eligibility Criteria
Must Have
Postgraduate degree in any discipline.
Minimum 2 years of experience in transport coordination or fleet management.
Familiarity with Gandhinagar’s local transport routes and traffic norms.
Good to Have
Experience in school transport administration.
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and insurance procedures.
Preferred Skills
Strong leadership to manage a team of drivers and attendants.
Excellent communication skills to liaise with parents and staff.
Organizational ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Problem-solving attitude to resolve transport-related issues quickly.
