Day-to-Day Duties
Plan and deliver Science lessons for grades 1–5 using activity-based learning aligned with the school curriculum.
Prepare low-cost, local materials for experiments to ensure affordability and relevance in Jamnagar.
Differentiate instruction through small-group activities, peer learning, and one-on-one support for struggling learners.
Assess students informally through observations, oral questions, and simple written tasks to track progress.
Collaborate with PRT colleagues to integrate science themes across subjects like language and math.
Maintain a tidy, labeled science corner with charts, models, and student work displays.
Communicate regularly with parents in Gujarati or English to share progress and suggest home-based learning.
Attend weekly staff meetings and participate in school science fairs or community events.
Required Qualifications
Graduation in Science or related field from a recognized university.
B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a focus on elementary pedagogy.
Three years of full-time teaching experience in primary classes.
Familiarity with Gujarat state board or CBSE science syllabi preferred.
Preferred Skills
Experience using inclusive pedagogy to teach science to mixed-ability groups.
Strong communication skills in Gujarati and English to explain concepts simply.
Patience and adaptability to meet the needs of learners with different paces and styles.
Ability to create low-cost teaching aids from locally available materials.
Salary and Benefits
Salary: Rs.18,000 – Rs.30,000 per month based on experience and qualifications.
