Job Description
PGT Botany Teacher Position at Shri O P Jindal Vidya Niketan, Mundra
Shri O P Jindal Vidya Niketan invites a dedicated PGT Botany Teacher to join their faculty in Mundra, Kachchh. This role requires expertise in plant biology, ecology, and practical applications of botany to engage students effectively in both theoretical and experimental learning. The position offers a competitive salary of Rs.35,000 to Rs.45,000 per month and aligns with the institution’s commitment to excellence in science education.
A strong foundation in postgraduate botany studies is essential, ideally with a specialization in areas like plant physiology, genetics, or environmental botany. Hands-on experience in designing and conducting lab-based experiments—such as tissue culture, plant pathology, or fieldwork—will be highly valued. The ideal candidate should also demonstrate the ability to integrate modern teaching methodologies with subject-specific content, ensuring relevance to both academic and practical outcomes.
Assessment and practical work form a core part of this role. You will develop and administer practical assessments, including field trips to local ecosystems, herbarium projects, and lab-based experiments. Collaborating with the science department to align botany curriculum with broader interdisciplinary studies, such as environmental science or agriculture, is also expected. Your ability to mentor students in research projects and encourage inquiry-based learning will be critical.
For this position, a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory, along with a valid TET/CTET certificate for classroom teaching. While prior experience in a PGT role is preferred, candidates with strong academic backgrounds and a passion for botany teaching are encouraged to apply. Experience in working with diverse student backgrounds and adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs will be an asset.
The role offers a full-time commitment with a focus on shaping young minds through dynamic and engaging botany instruction. If you are passionate about plant science education and eager to contribute to Shri O P Jindal Vidya Niketan’s academic growth, this opportunity awaits in Mundra, Kachchh.
