Develop and implement a dynamic Physical Education curriculum for grades 6 to 10 at Delhi Public School. Plan and oversee sports events, inter-house competitions, and inter-school tournaments in Vadodara. Lead the Physical Education team, mentor junior teachers, and set departmental goals.
Coordinate with other subject heads to integrate sports and fitness into school-wide initiatives. Introduce fitness assessments and wellness programs for students and staff in Gujarat. Manage equipment procurement, maintenance, and safety protocols for all sports facilities.
Promote inclusivity by adapting activities for students with diverse abilities. Represent the school at local and state-level sports forums. Ensure compliance with CBSE and school guidelines for Physical Education.
What you bring
Postgraduate degree in Physical Education or Sports Science from a recognized university. Minimum two years of teaching experience in a TGT role with demonstrated leadership potential. B.Ed or D.El.Ed is mandatory; TET/CTET will be an added advantage.
Experience in organizing large-scale sports events in school environments is preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire both students and colleagues are essential.
Career trajectory and growth
Starting as a TGT Physical Education Teacher, the role offers clear progression to Head of Department within two to three years. Successful candidates may lead curriculum design, teacher training, and sports policy development.
