Monitor student progress during lab work and assignments to ensure comprehension of practical applications in zoology. Address student queries promptly and provide additional explanations as needed.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and update syllabus-aligned lesson plans that incorporate modern teaching methods and real-world examples. Collaborate with the science department to organize interdisciplinary projects, such as environmental studies or animal behavior research. Participate in departmental meetings to discuss curriculum improvements and student performance trends. Maintain detailed records of student assessments, including lab reports and project submissions, for academic tracking.
Periodic Responsibilities
Coordinate with the school’s field trips team to arrange visits to zoological parks, wildlife sanctuaries, or research institutions to enrich student learning. Organize departmental workshops or guest lectures by experts in zoology to inspire students and share advanced knowledge. Ensure the biology lab is well-maintained, with proper equipment and safety protocols in place for practical sessions.
Qualification and Experience
Hold a postgraduate degree in Zoology or a related field. Possess a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) as per school requirements. Four years of teaching experience in senior secondary biology or zoology is mandatory. While TET/CTET is not mandatory for this role, proficiency in teaching methods and familiarity with CBSE/ICSE syllabi is highly beneficial.
Salary and Location
The selected candidate will be offered a monthly salary of Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 50,000. The position is based in Ambala, Haryana, with the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and inclusive academic environment.
