Qualifications and Eligibility
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a music-related subject as a major or minor. Experience in teaching music to children is highly valued. A TET/CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct daily music classes for students in grades 6 to 12, covering singing, instrumental basics, and music theory.
2. Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum while incorporating regional and classical Indian music traditions.
3. Engage students through interactive activities, performances, and group projects to enhance their musical skills.
4. Prepare and maintain a well-organized music room with instruments, sheet music, and teaching aids.
5. Collaborate with other teachers to integrate music into co-curricular activities and school events.
6. Assess students’ progress through practical evaluations, oral presentations, and participation in school music festivals.
7. Attend regular staff meetings and professional development workshops to stay updated on teaching methods.
8. Ensure all students adhere to safety guidelines while handling musical instruments and equipment.
9. Participate in school functions, including annual music festivals and inter-house competitions.
10. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress reports, and participation in music-related activities.
