Responsibilities
Teach Geography to students in grades 9 to 12, ensuring alignment with the latest CBSE curriculum. Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that incorporate real-world applications of geographical concepts.
Prepare and assess student assignments, projects, and exams to measure understanding and progress in core topics like physical geography, human geography, and environmental studies.
Engage students with interactive field trips, mapping exercises, and case studies to deepen their comprehension of geographical phenomena.
Collaborate with other subject teachers to integrate geography content across interdisciplinary projects and co-curricular activities.
Maintain accurate records of student performance and contribute to the development of school-wide teaching strategies for geography.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a postgraduate degree in Geography or a related field. Possess a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) for formal teaching certification.
Four years of relevant teaching experience at the secondary level, preferably in a reputed school environment. Experience in motivating diverse student groups and adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
A passion for geography and an ability to simplify complex concepts for students. Familiarity with modern educational tools and techniques is beneficial but not mandatory.
