About This Role
St Angels School is inviting applications for the position of PGT Geography Teacher in Gurugram, Haryana. This full-time role is designed for experienced educators who can shape the understanding of Geography among senior secondary students. The teacher will play a key role in preparing students for board examinations while fostering analytical and spatial thinking.
What You Will Do
Teach Geography at the senior secondary level with a focus on NCERT and CBSE-aligned content. Design lesson plans that connect physical, human, and economic geography with real-world examples relevant to Gurugram and Haryana. Lead curriculum development for Geography across grades 11 and 12, ensuring alignment with board exam patterns.
Coach students for CBSE board exams, conduct periodic assessments, and analyze performance trends to improve outcomes. Organize field trips, map reading sessions, and GIS-based projects to enhance practical learning. Guide students in research projects and case studies on regional development in Haryana and NCR.
Serve as a mentor for Geography Olympiad and quiz teams. Collaborate with the social science department to integrate geography with history and political science. Contribute to school events like Earth Day, climate awareness drives, and inter-school geography competitions.
Who Can Apply
Postgraduate degree in Geography with a minimum of three years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level. B.Ed or D.El.Ed is mandatory. TET or CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates familiar with CBSE Geography syllabus and examination trends will be given preference.
