PRT Theatre Teacher Job in Gurugram, Haryana | School Recruitment
Suncity School invites a dedicated PRT Theatre Teacher to join its vibrant arts program in Gurugram. This role focuses on nurturing students’ creativity through hands-on theatre activities, ensuring engaging and culturally relevant performances. The position aligns with the school’s commitment to holistic education, blending traditional and modern theatre techniques.
Daily Responsibilities
Plan and conduct daily theatre workshops, including improvisation, script reading, and basic stagecraft. Prepare students for short performances or skits, ensuring they grasp fundamental acting techniques. Collaborate with other arts faculty to integrate theatre elements into classroom projects. Maintain a safe and organized theatre space, including props, costumes, and stage equipment.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and deliver term-long theatre curricula that align with school syllabi and student interests. Assess students’ progress through practical evaluations, such as group performances and role-play exercises. Attend school meetings to discuss arts program improvements and share student achievements. Participate in school events like cultural fests, where theatre acts serve as key highlights.
Periodic Responsibilities
Organize occasional workshops with local theatre artists or professionals to enhance skills. Prepare annual theatre performance schedules, including dates and student assignments. Ensure all theatre-related materials, such as scripts and props, are well-maintained and accessible for classes.
Qualification and Experience
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a strong foundation in theatre arts. Three years of teaching experience in theatre or related arts subjects is mandatory. While TET/CTET certification is preferred, it is not mandatory for this role. A passion for youth engagement and a background in drama, puppetry, or performance art will be highly valued.
Salary and Location
The selected candidate will receive a competitive monthly salary of Rs.22,000 to Rs.40,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
