About This Role
Aakar Universal School seeks an experienced Music teacher to take on a senior-level role in our Music department at our Uklana campus in Hisar, Haryana. This is an excellent opportunity for a Music professional to lead and mentor junior staff, develop the Music curriculum, and contribute to the school's academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and develop the Music curriculum for classes I-XII
- Teach Music to classes I-XII, including music theory and practical classes
- Mentor and guide junior Music teachers to improve their skills and performance
- Analyze and improve board examination results in Music
- Collaborate with other subject heads to ensure a holistic education
- Develop and implement Music extracurricular activities and events
- Manage Music infrastructure, including instrumental stores and sound systems
- Conduct Music performances and events, including concerts and competitions
- Develop and implement Music projects and initiatives
- Monitor and maintain Music resources, including text books and digital tools
Who Can Apply
Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field, along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. At least 5 years of teaching experience in Music is required, with a preference for candidates who have cleared NET or SET exams. Experience in leading a Music department and mentoring junior staff is desirable.
