The teacher will report to the Principal’s office, overseeing curriculum implementation and student engagement in Political Science Teaching. This role requires a strong command of political science concepts, adaptability to diverse student learning needs, and a passion for nurturing civic awareness.
Core Duties
Teaching Political Science at the senior secondary level, ensuring alignment with the CBSE curriculum while incorporating modern political thought. Preparing comprehensive lesson plans, syllabi, and assessment tools tailored to political science topics like Indian politics, international relations, and governance structures.
Engaging students through interactive sessions, debates, and real-world case studies to enhance their understanding of political processes. Collaborating with the school’s academic team to integrate political science concepts across other subjects where relevant.
Participating in school events, seminars, and extracurricular activities related to political awareness, such as mock elections or guest lectures by local policymakers. Maintaining accurate records of student progress, attendance, and participation in Political Science Teaching programs.
Qualification and Experience
A postgraduate degree in Political Science or a related discipline is mandatory. Holding a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is essential for this position. While TET/CTET certification is not strictly required, it is highly preferred for teaching in Haryana.
The successful candidate must have at least five years of experience in Political Science Teaching, preferably in a school setting. Familiarity with Haryana’s education board guidelines and a strong ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse student backgrounds are assets.
Compensation and Location
This PGT Political Science Teacher position offers a competitive monthly salary of Rs.35,000 to Rs.65,000, depending on qualifications and experience. The role is based in Safidon, Jind, Haryana, within the school’s campus, offering a supportive and inspiring academic environment.
