You’ll prepare comprehensive lesson plans, conduct practical sessions on accounting software and financial analysis, and assess students through practical exams and projects. Collaboration with the commerce department will be essential to integrate real-world business scenarios into teaching. Regular parent-teacher interactions will help address student queries and reinforce learning at home. Maintaining a supportive yet rigorous academic environment, you’ll also mentor students in group discussions and case studies, fostering critical thinking in accounting concepts. The role requires maintaining updated teaching resources, including textbooks, workbooks, and digital tools, to keep lessons interactive and relevant.
To qualify, you must hold a postgraduate degree in Accountancy or Commerce with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. At least two years of teaching experience in Accountancy at the secondary or senior secondary level is mandatory. While TET/CTET is not mandatory, having these certifications will be an added advantage. Your ability to simplify complex accounting topics for students while maintaining academic excellence is crucial for this role.
