About This Role
Ashadeep Adarsh High School Karhans invites applications for a PRT Music Teacher in Samalkha, Panipat. This is a full-time position for an experienced music educator to lead the school’s music department and nurture students from classes I to VIII. The role involves curriculum design, classroom instruction, and preparation for inter-school competitions and board exams.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver weekly music lessons aligned with CBSE guidelines for PRT classes. Organise annual school concerts and festive assemblies where students perform vocal and instrumental pieces. Coach students for district-level and state-level music competitions in vocal, tabla, and harmonium.
Prepare students appearing for secondary board exams in Hindustani vocal or instrumental music practicals. Maintain assessment records, attendance sheets, and portfolios for every child in your class. Collaborate with the art and physical education teams to integrate music with school events.
Lead the music club and train a junior choir that performs at local community gatherings in Karhans. Organise annual music fairs and invite parents to watch student recitals in the school auditorium.
Required Qualifications
Graduation in Music from a recognised university is essential. B.Ed or D.El.Ed with Music as a teaching subject is mandatory. Minimum three years of classroom teaching experience in a CBSE-affiliated school is required.
TET or CTET certification is preferred but not compulsory for this role. Fluency in Hindi and English is necessary for lesson planning and parent communication.
Learning and Development
Teachers showing consistent performance may be considered for the Head of Department position within three years. Annual increments are based on classroom observations and student feedback forms.
