Qualifications
Graduate degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field. Minimum of five years experience in a similar administrative finance role. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office. Knowledge of school finance regulations and compliance is an advantage.
Responsibilities
Handle day‑to‑day bookkeeping, maintain accurate financial records, and prepare monthly financial statements for Suraj School Dharuhera. Oversee accounts payable and receivable, manage payroll processing, and ensure timely settlement of bills. Coordinate with external auditors and prepare audit schedules. Monitor cash flow, prepare budgets, and provide financial analysis to support decision making by school leadership.
Financial Planning
Prepare annual budgets in line with the school’s strategic goals. Track expenditures against budget, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions. Prepare financial reports for board meetings and regulatory bodies.
Compliance and Reporting
Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including GST, income tax, and education sector regulations. Maintain proper documentation for audits and inspections. Submit periodic reports to the education department and other authorities as required.
Cash Management
Manage petty cash and bank reconciliations. Handle cash receipts from tuition fees, donations, and other sources. Maintain cash ledgers and ensure segregation of duties.
System Management
Implement and maintain accounting systems tailored to school operations. Update software, troubleshoot issues, and train staff on financial procedures.
Stakeholder Interaction
Work closely with the school administration, teachers, and parents to resolve financial queries. Provide financial insights to support strategic initiatives such as infrastructure development and program expansion.
Skill Set
Strong analytical and numerical skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Good communication skills for interacting with staff and external partners.
