Key Responsibilities

- Design and deliver engaging Geography lessons to students in grades 6-12.
- Develop and implement curriculum-aligned teaching materials, assessments, and evaluation strategies.
- Foster a collaborative learning environment, encouraging students to participate, ask questions, and critically think.
- Engage with parents and guardians to discuss student progress, address concerns, and provide feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary projects, promoting holistic learning experiences.
- Develop and maintain a Geography lab, ensuring students have access to necessary resources and equipment.
- Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress, identify areas of improvement, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Participate in school events, competitions, and workshops to promote Geography awareness and appreciation.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in Geography education, incorporating relevant content and pedagogies into your teaching practices.
- Contribute to the school's community outreach programs, promoting Geography education and awareness among local communities.

Eligibility Criteria

- Postgraduate degree in Geography or a related field (MA, M.Sc, M.A.)
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a background in Geography or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of teaching experience, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of Geography curriculum, pedagogies, and assessment strategies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively, adapt to changing circumstances, and maintain a student-centered approach.
