This role focuses on delivering high-quality Physical Education (PE) instruction, fostering athletic development, and promoting a healthy lifestyle among students. Daily responsibilities include conducting morning and afternoon PE classes, ensuring students follow safety protocols during drills and games. You will also supervise extracurricular sports events, such as inter-house competitions, to maintain discipline and fair play. Daily planning and preparation of lesson plans, including equipment checks and student evaluations, are essential tasks.
Regular responsibilities across the academic cycle involve collaborating with school management to organize sports festivals and inter-school tournaments. You will assess student performance in physical activities, provide feedback, and recommend improvements in fitness programs. Additionally, maintaining records of student participation and attendance in sports activities is part of your ongoing duties.
Periodic responsibilities include attending staff meetings to discuss PE curriculum updates and sharing best practices with fellow teachers. You may also be asked to represent the school in local sports associations or organize community health awareness campaigns. Ensuring compliance with school policies on sports safety and equipment maintenance is another key responsibility.
To qualify for this PGT Physical Education Teacher position at Dhanbad Public School, candidates must hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with at least two years of teaching experience in Physical Education. A TET/CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory. Experience in coaching or managing school sports teams is a plus.
