Job Description
K.K. Public School in Dhanbad is looking for a dedicated PRT (Pupil Teacher) to teach Environmental Studies (EVS) to students. The role requires someone passionate about shaping young minds with hands-on environmental awareness and practical learning.
Responsibilities
Teach Environmental Studies (EVS) to students from Class I to VIII, ensuring alignment with school curriculum standards. Develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate real-world environmental issues and local community projects. Conduct field trips and outdoor activities to enhance students’ understanding of ecology, conservation, and sustainable practices.
Prepare and maintain subject-wise lesson plans, worksheets, and assessment materials. Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with teachers to address learning gaps. Organize classroom discussions, group projects, and experiments related to environmental science.
Engage parents and stakeholders through workshops or seminars on environmental education. Keep records of student attendance, performance, and participation in EVS-related activities. Ensure compliance with school policies and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications
Hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) with a focus on teaching. Possess a valid teaching certificate from a recognized board, such as TET or CTET, though not mandatory for this role. Have a strong academic background in science or environmental studies, preferably at the graduate level.
Experience
Two years of teaching experience in a school setting, preferably with EVS or science-related subjects. Familiarity with using interactive teaching methods and educational technology for EVS lessons is a plus. Experience in designing and implementing environmental projects for students would be beneficial.
Salary and Employment Details
The selected candidate will be offered a full-time position with a monthly salary ranging from Rs.12,000 to Rs.20,000. The role is based in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, and involves regular school hours with additional responsibilities as needed.
