About This Role
D.m. Public School uses smart boards and Google Classroom to make every Music lesson interactive and engaging. The PRT Music Teacher will blend traditional rhythm training with digital tools to keep students excited about learning. Lessons will feel fresh, practical, and rooted in Jharkhand’s rich folk traditions while staying connected to global music trends.
How You Will Teach
Daily classes will run on Google Classroom with assignments, audio submissions, and feedback loops. Smart boards will display tablature, staff notation, and rhythm drills in real time. You’ll upload practice tracks and sheet music on the school’s LMS so students can review at home. Blended learning means combining group vocal exercises with individual digital submissions.
Key Responsibilities
Plan weekly Music classes for Grades 1 to 5 using a mix of vocal, instrumental, and listening activities.
Create and upload audio-visual content for Google Classroom assignments at least twice a week.
Operate smart board lessons for tablature writing, rhythm clapping, and pitch recognition games.
Maintain a digital attendance and assessment log on the school’s LMS for each class.
Conduct monthly online quizzes on ragas, instruments, and Jharkhand’s folk music.
Prepare students for inter-house Music competitions using blended practice sessions.
Collaborate with the art and dance teachers to design cross-curricular Music projects.
Share weekly progress reports with parents through the school’s parent portal.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduate in Music or equivalent with minimum 50% marks from a recognized university.
B.Ed or D.El.Ed in Music Education with one year of teaching experience.
TET or CTET preferred but not mandatory for this position.
Familiarity with digital audio workstations or notation software will be an advantage.
Skills We Value
Strong digital literacy with daily use of Google Classroom, LMS, and smart boards.
Ability to create simple audio-visual teaching aids using mobile apps or basic software.
Comfort with online assessment tools and parent communication portals.
Knowledge of Jharkhand’s folk instruments like mandar, dhol, and shehnai adds value.
Perks and Pay
Monthly salary ranges from Rs.16,000 to Rs.32,000 based on experience and qualifications.
