The TGT Physical Education Teacher will plan and deliver engaging sports sessions for grades 6 to 10 at D.m. Public School, ensuring every student participates safely and enthusiastically. This role shapes lifelong fitness habits and builds school representation in district-level competitions.

Students at D.m. Public School come from families where many parents work in mining or local trades, so structured physical activity offers both health benefits and a break from routine. The community respects sports as a second classroom—where leadership and confidence are earned on the field.
Key Responsibilities
Organize daily physical education classes covering athletics, games, and yoga with age-appropriate drills and safety measures.
Prepare teams for inter-house and inter-school tournaments, including selection and practice schedules.
Maintain equipment inventories and report repairs to ensure safe play areas for all.
Collaborate with parents during sports day rehearsals and provide progress feedback in PTMs.
Run fitness challenges and health awareness drives that involve nearby residents and local clubs.
Document student fitness assessments and share trends with class teachers and the principal.
Assist in organizing annual sports day and other school-wide events with community volunteers.
Eligibility Criteria
Postgraduate degree in Physical Education or Sports Science with minimum 50% marks.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) from a recognized institution.
Three years of full-time teaching experience in physical education at the secondary level preferred.
TET/CTET certification is an added advantage but not mandatory.
