Conduct field trips and outdoor activities to reinforce classroom learning, such as visiting local forests, rivers, or community gardens. Collaborate with the school’s science and social studies teachers to integrate environmental themes across subjects.
Maintain student records, assess progress, and provide feedback through regular evaluations. Participate in school events like science fairs, tree-planting drives, and awareness campaigns to promote environmental stewardship.
Requirements
Hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) from a recognized university. Possess a graduate degree in any discipline with a strong interest in environmental science or related subjects.
Experience in teaching Environmental Studies or science subjects is preferred, though not mandatory. Familiarity with Jharkhand’s educational framework and local environmental challenges would be an asset. Must be comfortable with basic computer skills for lesson planning and school management tools.
TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory for this position.
Compensation
The PRT Evs Teacher at Shiksha Academy will receive a monthly salary ranging from Rs.12,000 to Rs.17,000, depending on qualifications and experience. The school also provides a modest allowance for travel and basic stationery needs, ensuring a supportive work environment in Giridih.
