Psychological Counsellor Job in Kodarma, Jharkhand | School Vacancy — Immediate requirement
About This Role
Grizzly Vidyalaya invites qualified candidates for the position of Psychological Counsellor in Kodarma. This is a full-time administrative role requiring three years of experience in school counselling. The Psychological Counsellor will support student well-being and collaborate with the school leadership team.
Day-to-Day Duties
1. Conduct individual and group counselling sessions for students in Grades 1 to 12.
2. Design and implement age-appropriate mental health awareness programs in Grizzly Vidyalaya.
3. Maintain confidential student records and prepare progress reports for parents and management.
4. Organize workshops on stress management, study skills, and emotional regulation for students.
5. Coordinate with class teachers and school staff to identify students needing counselling support.
6. Provide crisis intervention and referrals to external mental health professionals when required.
7. Assist in organizing parent-teacher meetings to discuss student well-being and behavioural concerns.
8. Participate in staff meetings to share insights on student mental health trends observed in Kodarma.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Psychology or Counselling from a recognized university is mandatory. Minimum three years of experience in school counselling is required. Proficiency in basic computer applications such as MS Office and email communication is necessary. Knowledge of Hindi and English is essential for effective communication with students and parents.
