Job Description
Oxford Public School in Chainpur, Palamu, Jharkhand, a Tier 4 school, is looking for a full‑time clerk to support administrative operations. The successful candidate will manage day‑to‑day clerical tasks, maintain records, and assist various departments with routine paperwork.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and documents for faculty, staff, and students.
- Enter data into school databases, update student and staff records, and prepare reports for school management.
- Handle general correspondence, including drafting letters, notices, and routine communication.
- Maintain office supplies inventory, place orders, and track deliveries to ensure smooth functioning of the school office.
- Assist in preparing attendance sheets, fee receipts, and other financial documents in coordination with the accounts team.
- Provide support during school events, examinations, and parent‑teacher meetings by managing logistics and documentation.
- Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to school policies on data protection.
- Collaborate with teachers and administrative staff to resolve paperwork issues and improve office efficiency.
Required qualifications and experience
- Post‑graduate degree (any discipline) is mandatory.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a clerical or administrative role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic knowledge of school management software.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good communication skills in Hindi and English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Employment terms
- Full‑time position with a monthly salary ranging from Rs.20,000 to Rs.30,000, commensurate with experience and performance.
- The role is based in Chainpur, Palamu, Jharkhand, and requires regular attendance during school hours.
