Daily Responsibilities
Plan and conduct daily music lessons, ensuring activities align with curriculum standards. Teach fundamental music concepts like rhythm, pitch, and simple compositions. Engage students in group and individual singing, playing instruments, or improvisation exercises. Prepare and organize materials such as sheet music, props, and audio-visual aids for lessons.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Coordinate with the principal and teachers to integrate music lessons into the broader school curriculum. Assess student progress through informal evaluations, quizzes, and performance-based assessments. Participate in school events, including cultural fests, music recitals, and inter-house competitions. Collaborate with other teachers to ensure cohesive learning experiences across subjects.
Periodic Responsibilities
Prepare annual lesson plans and unit assessments based on student needs and school guidelines. Attend staff meetings and workshops related to music education to stay updated on best practices. Organize and maintain a well-stocked music classroom, including instruments, equipment, and teaching resources.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a minimum of three years of teaching experience. Possess a TET/CTET certificate as preferred but not mandatory. A strong foundation in music theory, vocal, and instrumental skills is essential. Graduate degree in music or a related field is beneficial but not required.
Salary and Location
The selected candidate will be offered a monthly salary ranging from Rs.18,000 to Rs.30,000, depending on qualifications and experience. This position is based in Kanke, Ranchi, Jharkhand, with full-time employment.
