Job Description
PRT Science Teacher Job in Ranchi, Jharkhand | School Recruitment
What is this Science Teacher job about?
This is a full-time PRT Science Teacher vacancy in Ranchi for someone who enjoys making science simple and exciting for young learners. The role involves teaching foundational concepts of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology to classes 1 to 5 at Indian Public School, Rahe.
What will you actually do every day?
Every morning you’ll plan lessons for three science periods, set up small experiments using everyday materials, and check homework after school. You’ll also attend staff meetings on Fridays and help organize the annual science exhibition at Indian Public School. During the monsoon, you’ll sometimes take classes inside when labs aren’t usable.
Who can apply?
Applicants must be graduates with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree and at least two years of teaching experience in primary science. TET or CTET is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates familiar with the Jharkhand board curriculum will find it easier to settle in.
What skills matter most?
You need to explain science without jargon and keep thirty curious children engaged for forty minutes. Good classroom management and basic lab safety knowledge are essential. If you’ve ever made a volcano from baking soda and vinegar in your own class, that counts as experience.
What's the salary and benefits?
The monthly salary ranges from Rs.15,000 to Rs.25,000 depending on experience and qualifications. Indian Public School provides a clean classroom, teaching aids, and mid-day refreshments for staff.
Why should you consider this opportunity?
You’ll work in Rahe, Ranchi, where the air is fresher than in the city center. Indian Public School values teachers who can innovate, so your ideas for simple science kits are welcome. The school also runs a Saturday hobby club—if you enjoy sharing science beyond textbooks, this fits well.
How do you apply?
Send your resume and a one-page note on how you teach science to young children to the email address given on the Indian Public School careers page. Mention “PRT Science Teacher in Ranchi, Jharkhand” in the subject line. Shortlisted candidates will be called for a demo class at Indian Public School, Rahe.

About School
