Role Responsibilities
The selected PGT Economics Teacher will design and deliver the Economics curriculum for classes XI and XII, aligning lessons with the CBSE framework and incorporating real‑world case studies relevant to Mumbai’s financial markets. Daily classes will involve interactive discussions, problem‑solving sessions, and the use of digital tools to illustrate concepts such as macro‑economic indicators, fiscal policy, and micro‑economic theory. The teacher will prepare lesson plans, create assessments, and evaluate student performance, providing timely feedback and remedial support where needed. Coordination with the senior faculty team ensures integration of interdisciplinary projects, especially those linking Economics with Geography and Business Studies. Regular parent‑teacher meetings will be conducted to discuss student progress, and the teacher will contribute to school events like economics quiz contests and inter‑school debates. Continuous professional development is encouraged, with the teacher expected to stay updated on latest educational resources and economic developments in Maharashtra.
Eligibility
Candidates must possess a postgraduate degree in Economics along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. A minimum of three years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level is required, with a strong record of delivering the Economics syllabus effectively. While TET/CTET certification is preferred, candidates with proven classroom expertise and a clear understanding of the CBSE Economics syllabus will be considered. Excellent communication skills in English and Marathi, along with the ability to engage diverse learners, are essential.
