PGT Zoology Teacher Job in Mumbai City, Maharastra | School Recruitment
Euro School in Mumbai City seeks an experienced PGT Zoology Teacher to join their team and inspire students with a passion for biological sciences. This role demands expertise in teaching advanced zoology concepts while aligning with Euro School’s emphasis on holistic learning and scientific inquiry.
Daily responsibilities include preparing engaging lesson plans for senior classes, delivering lectures on topics like animal physiology, ecology, and evolution, and facilitating interactive discussions to deepen student understanding. Conducting practical sessions, such as dissections or field studies, is essential to bridge theory with hands-on learning. Maintaining a structured classroom environment with clear expectations for behavior and academic performance is also part of daily duties.
Regular responsibilities across the academic cycle involve grading assignments, exams, and projects to assess student progress in zoology. Collaborating with the science department to integrate interdisciplinary learning, such as connecting biology with environmental studies, ensures a well-rounded curriculum. Participating in departmental meetings to review teaching strategies and curriculum updates is also necessary.
Periodic responsibilities include organizing departmental workshops or guest lectures by experts in zoology to enrich student knowledge. Assisting in school events like science fairs or eco-clubs, where students apply biological concepts in real-world contexts, adds to your role. Ensuring compliance with Euro School’s policies on safety and lab management during practical activities is critical.
For this PGT Zoology Teacher position, a postgraduate degree in Zoology or a related field is mandatory. A Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is required, along with at least two years of teaching experience in a school setting. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it is highly preferred for this role.
The PGT Zoology Teacher at Euro School will receive a competitive salary of Rs. 37,000 to Rs. 60,000 per month, along with the opportunity to work in one of Mumbai City’s premier educational institutions. This role aligns with Euro School’s commitment to fostering scientific curiosity and academic excellence among students.
