PRT Art And Craft Teacher Job in Mumbai City, Maharastra | School Recruitment
The Art And Craft teacher at St. Teresas Convent High School designs and leads hands‑on projects that integrate visual expression with core curriculum concepts, guiding students through creative processes from concept to finished artwork.
Scope of the Role
This PRT position focuses on delivering engaging Art And Craft lessons to students in grades 6 to 10, fostering creativity, fine motor skills, and cultural appreciation. The teacher collaborates with subject coordinators to align craft activities with interdisciplinary themes, and supports school art exhibitions and community outreach projects.
Core Academic Duties
Plan and execute daily Art And Craft lessons, incorporating diverse media such as clay, paper, textiles, and recycled materials. Demonstrate techniques, supervise student work, and maintain a safe, organized studio environment. Provide individualized guidance to enhance artistic development and ensure all students meet learning objectives.
Assessment and Planning Duties
Prepare weekly lesson plans that reflect curriculum standards and student progress. Collect and evaluate student artwork, offering constructive feedback and maintaining records of growth. Coordinate with the school’s assessment team to integrate craft projects into broader academic evaluation frameworks.
Qualification and Experience
Graduate with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed. Two years of teaching experience in a school setting is required. TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory. Demonstrated ability to create engaging, student‑centered craft lessons is essential.
Salary and Location
Full‑time employment at St. Teresas Convent High School in Mumbai City, Maharastra. Salary ranges from Rs.15,000 to Rs.30,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
