Responsibilities
Teach Social Science subjects including history, geography, and political science to students from Class I to VIII. Develop lesson plans aligned with the Maharashtra State Board curriculum while incorporating interactive teaching methods to enhance student engagement. Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and collaborate with the principal and teachers to support overall academic growth.
Prepare and maintain student records, conduct regular assessments, and ensure compliance with school policies. Participate in extracurricular activities such as debates, quiz competitions, and cultural events to foster holistic development. Assist in organizing field trips and educational excursions related to Social Science topics to bring learning to life.
Engage with parents through regular communication, attend parent-teacher meetings, and maintain transparency in student performance. Stay updated on educational trends and teaching techniques to continuously improve classroom effectiveness. Ensure adherence to school safety protocols and maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Qualification
Hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) as per the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) guidelines. Possess a graduate degree in Social Science or related fields. TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory for this position.
Experience
Proven teaching experience of at least two years in a school environment, preferably with a focus on Social Science. Familiarity with classroom management techniques and student behavior is essential. Experience in creating engaging lesson materials and adapting teaching methods for diverse learning needs is a plus.
