PRINCIPAL Job in Thane, Maharastra | School Vacancy
Responsibilities
The incumbent will lead Amity International School | Navi Mumbai in delivering academic excellence and holistic development for students in Thane. Overseeing day‑to‑day operations, budgeting, staff recruitment, and compliance with state education regulations forms the core of the role. The principal will drive continuous improvement initiatives, foster community engagement, and ensure a safe, inclusive environment across the campus. Interaction with parents, local authorities, and educational boards will be essential to maintain the school’s reputation.
Key duties include strategic planning, implementation of the school’s vision, supervision of senior staff, and monitoring of performance metrics. The principal will coordinate extracurricular programmes, manage infrastructure projects, and uphold high standards of discipline and student welfare. Regular reporting to the board and participation in regional education forums are also expected.
Qualifications
A postgraduate degree is mandatory, complemented by B.Ed or D.El.Ed as per school leadership norms. Preference will be given to candidates who have cleared TET/CTET and possess at least four years of senior administrative experience in a recognized school setting. Demonstrated ability to lead a large team, manage budgets, and engage with diverse stakeholders is required.
Experience
Candidates must have a minimum of four years of experience in school administration or a comparable leadership role. Experience in managing multi‑grade institutions and familiarity with Maharashtra’s educational policies will be advantageous.
