Role Summary
The Music Teacher Job in Cuttack, Odisha involves overseeing the entire music programme, planning curricula, managing resources, and coordinating events that showcase student talent. What You Will Do
- Design and implement the annual music calendar, including concerts, festivals and inter‑school competitions.
- Supervise and mentor a small team of music assistants, ensuring smooth lesson delivery and adherence to safety standards.
- Manage the department budget, approve purchases of instruments, software and maintenance contracts.
- Liaise with external artists, cultural organisations and local media to create partnership opportunities for the school.
- Oversee the maintenance of practice rooms, instrument inventory and storage facilities, arranging repairs as needed.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback and arrange professional development for staff.
- Coordinate with the admissions office to promote the music programme during open houses and parent‑teacher meetings.
- Prepare reports for the school management on participation rates, achievements and future resource requirements.
Eligibility Criteria
Post‑graduate qualification (M.A./M.Sc. in Music or related field) with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed is essential. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience managing educational programmes. TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory. Strong communication skills in Odia and English are required.
