About This Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate TGT Biology Teacher to join our faculty at St Xaviers High School in Jajpur, Odisha. As a Biology Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in grades 9-10, and developing engaging lesson plans to promote scientific literacy and critical thinking.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Plan and deliver lessons in Biology to students in grades 9-10
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Develop and implement curriculum-aligned materials and resources
- Maintain accurate records of student grades and attendance
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development workshops
- Conduct experiments and demonstrations to illustrate scientific concepts
- Evaluate and adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
Who Can Apply
To be considered for this role, you should have a postgraduate degree in Science (Biology) and a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree. TET or CTET certification is desirable but not mandatory. A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience is required, with a strong background in Biology teaching. You should be proficient in English and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
