About This Role
Our school, St Xaviers High School, is seeking an experienced TGT Social Science Teacher to join our faculty team at St Xaviers High School in Jajpur, Odisha. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Social Science to students at the higher secondary level.
How You Will Teach
As a TGT Social Science Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Social Science using practical methods, tools, and activities that promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills. You will use textbooks, reference materials, and digital resources to enhance student learning. You will also conduct periodical assessment and evaluation of students' progress.
Day-to-Day Duties
1. Teach Social Science to students at the higher secondary level.
2. Prepare and deliver engaging lessons that meet the curriculum requirements.
3. Assess and evaluate student progress through regular tests, quizzes, and assignments.
4. Use digital resources and multimedia tools to enhance student learning.
5. Develop and implement innovative teaching methods to improve student outcomes.
6. Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement curriculum activities.
7. Monitor and maintain student records and attendance.
8. Participate in school events and activities that promote student learning and development.
Required Qualifications
To be eligible for this role, you must have a postgraduate degree in Social Science or a related field. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree is also required. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed the TET or CTET examination.
