Job Description
Role Introduction
St. Xavier High School in Keonjhar Sadar, Kendujhar, Odisha is looking for a full‑time TGT Odia Teacher. The post is for a dedicated educator to deliver Odia language instruction to secondary students.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Odia lessons in accordance with the school curriculum and state guidelines.
Assess student performance through regular tests, assignments and oral evaluations, providing constructive feedback.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades and progress reports for each class.
Organise co‑curricular activities, cultural programs and language competitions to promote Odia literature and heritage.
Collaborate with fellow teachers and senior staff for interdisciplinary projects and school events.
Participate in parent‑teacher meetings, addressing concerns and suggesting improvement strategies for learners.
Ensure classroom discipline, safety and a supportive learning environment at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
Post‑graduate degree in Odia or a related discipline with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification.
Minimum of 2 years teaching experience at the TGT level in a recognized school.
CTET/TET certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong command of spoken and written Odia, along with effective classroom management skills.
Salary, Location and Application
The position offers a salary range of Rs.18,000 – Rs.35,000 per month.
Location: Keonjhar Sadar, Kendujhar, Odisha.
