Gautam Budha International School in Nimapada, Puri, seeks a dedicated PGT Economics Teacher to inspire and guide high school students with a strong foundation in economic principles. This role requires a passion for teaching economics, aligning curriculum standards with real-world applications to foster critical thinking. The ideal candidate will engage students through interactive lessons, encourage analytical discussions, and prepare them for competitive exams like JEE, NEET, or state-level entrance tests.
The primary responsibilities include designing and delivering engaging economics lessons covering macro and microeconomics, business studies, and related topics. You’ll assess student performance through continuous evaluation, adapt teaching methods to diverse learning needs, and collaborate with the economics department to enhance academic programs. Regular updates on economic policies, global trends, and industry insights will be essential to keep lessons relevant and dynamic.
A postgraduate degree in Economics with a specialization in the subject is mandatory. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is required for teaching certification. Four years of experience in economics education, preferably at the high school level, will be highly beneficial. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it will be an added advantage.
