PGT Computer Science Teacher Job in Sambalpur, Odisha | School Recruitment
The reality of this role
This is a full-time PGT Computer Science Teacher position at Sainik School, Burla, Sambalpur. You will teach Classes 9 to 12 in a disciplined residential environment. What you will actually do
Prepare and deliver Computer Science lessons for senior secondary students with a focus on problem-solving and programming logic.
Conduct hands-on Python, C++, and Java lab sessions using the school’s computer labs with 20-25 students per batch.
Design practical assignments and mini-projects aligned with CBSE Computer Science syllabus for Classes 11 and 12.
Evaluate lab reports, assignments, and project work on a weekly basis and provide constructive feedback.
Organize inter-house coding competitions and IT-related quizzes to build interest and teamwork.
Maintain lab equipment, software licenses, and inventory records for the Computer Science department.
Participate in school events such as Science Day, Tech Fest, and parent-teacher meetings representing the department.
Assist in organizing NCC, sports, and cultural activities as part of the school’s holistic development program.
Who can do this job
Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or MCA with B.Ed or D.El.Ed.
Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in Computer Science at the senior secondary level.
Prior experience in a residential school or Sainik School-type environment is preferred.
Knowledge of CBSE curriculum and familiarity with NCERT textbooks is necessary.
