TGT Social Science Teacher Job in Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab | School Recruitment
The reality of this role
At Lawrence Global School you will handle classes of 8th to 10th standard, guiding students through history, civics and geography. Lessons are a mix of textbook work, project based learning and occasional field trips to local sites in Fatehgarh Sahib. You will prepare lesson plans, assess work and maintain records while interacting with parents and school staff. The day often ends with a quick faculty meeting to discuss progress and upcoming events.
What you will actually do
- Deliver the Social Science curriculum as per Punjab Board guidelines.
- Design and execute interactive activities, debates and model UN sessions.
- Prepare weekly lesson plans and share them on the school’s digital portal.
- Conduct periodic assessments, evaluate answer sheets and provide constructive feedback.
- Organize educational visits to museums, historical monuments and local government offices.
- Coordinate with the Hindi and English teachers for interdisciplinary projects.
- Maintain attendance registers, progress reports and update student records.
- Participate in school events, cultural programs and parent‑teacher meetings.
Who can do this job
- Post‑graduate degree in History, Geography, Political Science or related field.
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory.
- Minimum three years of teaching experience in a school setting.
- TET/CTET qualification preferred but not mandatory.

- Strong command of the Social Science syllabus and ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Good communication skills in English and Punjabi.
- Patience, creativity and a student‑centred approach.
