Reporting and scope
Reports to the Head of Department and assists in curriculum planning for the Social Science stream.
Core duties
Curriculum delivery – design and teach lesson plans aligned with state guidelines, ensuring clear objectives and interactive learning.
Assessment and feedback – conduct formative and summative assessments, provide constructive feedback to students and parents, and maintain accurate records.
Student development – mentor students in debate, projects, and extracurricular activities related to history, geography, and civics.
Classroom management – create a disciplined, inclusive environment that encourages participation and respect.
Professional growth – attend faculty meetings, workshops, and contribute to school initiatives that enhance the Social Science curriculum.
Qualification and experience
Post‑graduate degree in History, Political Science, Geography or related field. B.Ed or D.El.Ed required; TET/CTET preferred. Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a school setting.
Compensation and location
Salary range: Rs.20,000 – Rs.32,000 per month. Position based in Rajpura, Patiala, Punjab.
