Special Educator Job in Fazilka, Punjab | School Vacancy — Immediate requirement
About This Role
Ravenwood International School is looking for a qualified Special Educator for our campus in Abohar, Fazilka. This is a full-time, leadership-focused position requiring experience in special education administration and program management. The role involves overseeing inclusion policies, coordinating with therapists, and ensuring compliance with educational standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs in Fazilka and Abohar.
2. Lead the school’s inclusion committee and conduct regular reviews with parents and specialists.
3. Train classroom assistants and shadow teachers on classroom adaptations and behavioral strategies.
4. Coordinate with external agencies such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, and counselors.
5. Maintain accurate records of student progress and prepare quarterly reports for school leadership.
6. Organize awareness sessions for parents on special education rights and support services.
7. Ensure all classroom materials and infrastructure meet accessibility norms as per RTE and local guidelines.
8. Represent Ravenwood International School in district-level meetings on inclusive education.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduation in any discipline is required. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with specialization in Special Education is mandatory. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in a school or educational institution. Basic computer proficiency in MS Office and data management is essential. Experience in a multicultural school environment is preferred.
Preferred Skills
Experience in managing IEPs for children with autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities. Strong communication skills in English, Hindi, and Punjabi. Ability to work under pressure and lead cross-functional teams. Knowledge of local resources and government schemes for children with special needs.
Perks and Pay
The position offers a monthly salary between Rs.20,000 and Rs.35,000 based on qualifications and experience.
