Your responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging TGT Science lessons aligned with CBSE guidelines for Classes 6–10. Design and maintain a digital lab journal where students upload experiment photos and short video summaries each week. Organise monthly Science fairs where students present working models or research posters. Use Google Classroom to assign quizzes, share resource links, and provide instant feedback on assignments. Collaborate with the Math and Computer Science teams to run interdisciplinary projects like coding a calculator or analysing sports statistics. Keep updated records of lab inventory and safety compliance in the central database. Participate in parent-teacher digital portals to share progress snapshots every fortnight. Attend curriculum review meetings twice a month to refine teaching strategies.
Qualifications and digital literacy requirements
Postgraduate degree in Science with B.Ed/D.El.Ed mandatory. Proficiency in basic Python or Scratch is desirable. Familiarity with CBSE Science syllabus and lab manuals required. Experience with Google Workspace and Moodle platforms preferred.
Skills for the modern classroom
Ability to explain complex concepts through storytelling and analogies. Comfort with using mobile apps for attendance, assessments, and parent communication. Patience to troubleshoot student tech issues during class. Flair for creating DIY kits from locally available materials to cut costs.
