As a senior faculty member at Shivalik Convent School Mohali, Dera Bassi, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, Punjab, we are looking for an experienced PGT Accountancy Teacher to lead our Accountancy department. Key Responsibilities
- Teach Accountancy to classes XI and XII, ensuring a deep understanding of concepts and application of skills
- Prepare and deliver lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles, abilities, and needs
- Conduct regular assessments, provide constructive feedback, and track student progress
- Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with Punjab State Board of School Education (PSBSE) guidelines
- Collaborate with other subject teachers to foster a cohesive and supportive learning environment
- Guide students for board exams, ensuring they are well-prepared for the Accountancy paper
- Participate in staff meetings, contribute to school events, and support extracurricular activities
- Maintain accurate records, submit timely reports, and adhere to school policies and procedures
- Stay updated with the latest developments in Accountancy education and share knowledge with colleagues
- Provide guidance to non-teaching staff on Accountancy-related matters, as required
Eligibility Criteria
- Post-graduate degree in Commerce (Accountancy) from a recognized university
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree from a recognized institution
- Minimum 4 years of teaching experience, preferably in a school setting
- TET or CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong knowledge of Accountancy concepts, including financial statements, budgeting, and taxation
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, prioritize tasks, and meet
