Pedagogy and Tools
In this role, the PGT Economics Teacher will employ practical methods and tools to facilitate Economics teaching. The teacher will also be expected to utilize online resources and digital tools to enhance the learning experience.
Day-to-Day Duties
As a PGT Economics Teacher at Shivalik Convent School Mohali, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparing and delivering lectures on Economics topics to students of varying skill levels
- Developing and implementing lesson plans that cater to different learning styles
- Assigning and grading homework, quizzes, and exams to assess student understanding
- Providing individualized attention to students who require additional support
- Collaborating with colleagues to plan and implement Economics-related projects and activities
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and grades
- Participating in school-wide events and activities that promote Economics awareness and appreciation
- Staying updated with curriculum changes and developments in Economics education
- Mentoring students for Economics-related competitions and projects
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this role, the PGT Economics Teacher candidate must possess:
- A post-graduate degree in Economics (M.A., M.Com, or MBA)
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed certification
- A minimum of 4 years of teaching experience in Economics
- Familiarity with the Punjab State Education Board curriculum and assessment requirements
