Daily Responsibilities
Plan and conduct daily classes, ensuring interactive discussions on contemporary political issues. Monitor student participation and address individual learning needs during sessions. Maintain a structured classroom environment, promoting discipline and respect for diverse viewpoints.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and update teaching resources, including PowerPoint presentations, handouts, and project-based activities to enhance student engagement. Collaborate with the school’s curriculum team to refine Political Science curriculum elements, ensuring alignment with national education standards. Assess student progress through periodic tests, projects, and quizzes, providing constructive feedback to guide improvement. Attend faculty meetings and departmental discussions to share teaching strategies and stay updated on educational policies.
Periodic Responsibilities
Participate in school events such as debates, mock elections, or guest lectures on Political Science to enrich student learning experiences. Organize field trips or guest speaker sessions to expose students to political institutions, think tanks, or local governance bodies in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar. Contribute to school initiatives like inter-house competitions or public awareness campaigns related to civic duties and democratic processes.
Qualification and Experience
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a postgraduate qualification in Political Science or a related discipline. Minimum 4 years of teaching experience, preferably in Political Science or social sciences at the high school level. While TET/CTET certification is preferred, it is not mandatory. Strong communication skills, adaptability to diverse student backgrounds, and a deep understanding of Punjab’s political context are essential.
Salary and Location
The selected candidate will be offered a monthly salary of Rs.25,000 to Rs.35,000, depending on qualifications and experience. The TGT Political Science Teacher will be based in Kharar, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, Punjab, reporting to the school’s administrative team.
