The teacher plays a key role in creating a safe space where questions are encouraged and mistakes are seen as learning steps.
Day-to-Day Duties
Plan daily mathematics lessons aligned with the early childhood curriculum for Nursery to UKG classes. Prepare teaching aids like flashcards, number blocks, and charts to make abstract ideas concrete for young learners. Conduct interactive sessions where students count objects, sort shapes, and play number rhymes to reinforce learning.
Assess each child’s progress through informal observations and simple worksheets to identify strengths and areas needing support. Organize small group activities to help slower learners catch up without pressure. Collaborate with other NTT teachers to integrate mathematics into storytelling and art activities.
Communicate regularly with parents to share their child’s progress and suggest home-based activities. Participate in school assemblies and events where mathematics is highlighted through songs and skits. Attend weekly teacher meetings to plan upcoming themes and share best practices.
Required Qualifications
